Santi Mirón

Born in Barcelona, he began to study viola da gamba in 1995 with Clara Hernández and Pere Ros at Barcelona Conservatory.


He moved to Strasbourg and at the conservatory of this city he obtained the “medaille d’or” in 2000. He studied whit Guido Balestracci and Martin Bauer. After he studied at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), with Sophie Watillon and Jordi Savall.


He has been a member of Bachetto Musicale consort of viols (Pere Ros) and L’Amoroso (Guido Balestracci). He has collaborated in numerous groups and orchestras including Le Parlement de Musique (Strasbourg), Accademia Montis Regalis (Italy), Los Músicos de su Alteza (Zaragoza), Nova Lux ensemble (Pamplona), Arsys de Borgonya, Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, Gli Incogniti & L’Assemblee Des Honnestes Curieux (Amandine Beyer ), Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana, Victoria Musicae (Valencia) , Capella de Música de Santa Maria del Pi de Barcelona, Aires de Hesperia i Il Gruppolo Espagnoulo (Tenerife), Le Tendre Amour, Delos Ensemble (Lisbon), La Principessa Philosopha, Capella Virelai, Turba Musici, Camerata XXI, Ars Atlantica, Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, Orquestra Barroca Catalana and others.


He has made recordings with the following labels: Symphonia, Accentus, Opus 111, Arsis La mà de Guido, Radio Televisión Española and radios and televisions in Spain and Europe.


In addition he has work with the conductors Pierre Cao, Martin Gester, Jordi Reguant, Alessandro di Marchi, Robert King, Amandine Beyer, David van Asch, Ottavio Dantone, Tobias Gossmann, amongst others.


Currently he is the artistic director of the charitable project Lux Fundació from Barcelona. This charitable project uses music to support those in need through concerts and recordings which it organises using its own musical ancient groups: Lux Ensemble and Lux Consort ut a Barcelona, estudia viola da gamba amb Clara  Hernández i en Pere Ros.
